Ahmad Zaghloul leads technology at Eilaaf. He is not an advocate and takes no matters. He builds and runs the systems the firm's lawyers work inside, and he holds the firm's technical decisions — which software it uses, where its files live, and who can reach them.

He develops Lawyer Assistant, a case-management system written for Egyptian legal practice, which Eilaaf runs on its own files. Deadlines, documents and client correspondence sit in software built for this procedure rather than in a spreadsheet or a foreign product that assumes a different one — which is why the firm builds this rather than buying it.

What this is for, from a client's side: a firm that knows where your file is. Your matter is recorded the day it opens, its dates are tracked by something other than memory, and the lawyer holding it can find every document in it without asking you to send it again. Most firms of this size rent that capability from an agency or do without it. Eilaaf's is built in-house and stays that way.
